HD
For the past two weeks, Saturday Night Live has been shot in only HD so whenever there are words on the screen, you can only see some of it. This really sucks. Amy Poehler came back, though. I think she is only doing the news though, since she needs to care for her newborn son.

I think we've crossed over that line into HD being the primary thing and SD (standard definition) being phased out.
I think 2007/8/9 will be remembered as the years where HD took over.
Perhaps the shutdown of the analog broadcast signals in a couple months makes for a good mark.
I heard the same thing about this with some XBox 360 games becoming a habit. Apparently people aren't happy about it since the in game text is hardly readable.
