Ginger Viva Forever single

Socks Clinton is Gravely Ill

Terrible news. Socks is battling cancer and is expected to die soon. He is 19, my Kitty died last year at age 18, she had cancer, too. :(

Story from LA Times

Illinois

So I'm feeling so great driving around LA with my Illinois license plate on my car with my proud Obama bumper sticker and my City of Chicago parking pass on my windshield...

But then this happened

Thanks a lot for ruining it for me and the entire state, guy.

Jazz Interlude

I've been searching for this song for years now. I had a dream that I finally figured out what it was. Sadly, I woke up.

Here is a link to a guy that is wondering the same as me

and the song appears in this clip

Shout out to Arun for providing the link to show video at correct position.

HD

For the past two weeks, Saturday Night Live has been shot in only HD so whenever there are words on the screen, you can only see some of it. This really sucks. Amy Poehler came back, though. I think she is only doing the news though, since she needs to care for her newborn son.

For Elyse

This is how my sister feels about most everyone.

Disneyland Castle Walkthrough

*this post will be boring to any non-Disneyland fans.

Sorry I am behind on my updates because I was finishing out the semester with adorable lesson plans. Now on Sunday, December 7, Luke and I went to Disneyland to see the Christmas fireworks show. "Snow" falls at the conclusion of the fireworks. It turns out that this snow was actually foamy bubbles. It seemed stupid at first, but then it actually looked like snow falling. Then Luke asked this bitch CM if the castle walk- through was open and she said, "not at night". So we got in line for Peter Pan and went on that, wasting a good 25 minutes that we should have been in the walk-through (the time was only "wasted" because Luke needed to get home to sleep). Poor guy. The walkthrough was open and it was really cool. I really enjoyed it!

The clownage of the Triangle ends here

So I was reading fail blog from Jan 08 and found a picture of a boy playing drums with a boy playing triangle standing next to him with a FAIL! I didn't really understand why that was, maybe they were clowning the boy who played the triangle b/c it's supposedly a simple instrument. I was reading through the comments and people were saying how the triangle is actually kind of tricky to play and is learned along with other percussion instruments. Then I found some youtube videos of people using the triangle. I guess it's not as easy as I thought it was. I'm no longer going to claim I can play the triangle.

The Loving Kind video

Girls Aloud released their new video today, for their 20th single, The Loving Kind. I love it, it reminds me of the '90s and of Ace of Base and Alice Deejay. Sarah looks great (except for her outfit) and I was like, "whoaaaa" when Nicola sticks her leg high up against the wall. Nadine looked good until her bangs came down. They all looked pale, too, which was kinda weird. I liked the more trancy sound to the song, it's a little bit different than the album track. Liked the video, simple concept. Would love to dance to this at the club and have the video play at the same time.

The dog for the Obamas

Since everyone else seems to be giving their opinion on this topic, I say that the dog the Obamas should get is the miniature Schnauzer. Barack said the dog has to be hypo-allergenic, which this dog is. He also said the dog can't be "girlie". This dog looks like an old man!

Another plus is that this dog resembles Fala, the famous Scottish terrier of FDR.

Britney Spears Albums

I'm copying Joz's Girls Aloud album post by posting my own graph, Britney Spears-style. I couldn't figure out how to do a line graph so you are getting a bar graph. I think In the Zone has been her best album yet thus far, followed by Blackout, Circus ties with Britney, Oops! I did it Again, and ...Baby One More Time is dead last.

Long Distance Call

I watched this episode of The Twilight Zone last night and it really scared me. I was afraid to walk back into my room in the dark. Kind of reminded me of Poltergeist.

Classic Tom Pieper...

...a disembodied head showing up randomly in pictures.

A Blog for all you teachers

So I'm doing a group lesson plan and we are doing an "Under the Sea" unit. Each of us has to write a one day lesson plan for reading time. I chose to do mine on Hermit crabs. So last week my group told me I need to teach alliteration somewhere in my lesson. I was having trouble figuring out what to do for the lesson. Today at the library I found a story about a Hermit crab that uses a lot of alliteration! Yay! I love when life just seems to work out for you.

Live in the Country

Girls, let's change the C to a K and make it something awesome. Go live in the Kunt-tree.

The Twilight Zone

I've been watching all the Twilight Zone episodes in order. Last night I watched a really good one called Back There. Let's just say it deals with history and April 14.

Lego Advent

My sweet/sexy/adorable boyfriend brought me a surprise today. He brought me some delicious Mediterranean lunch and also a Lego Advent calendar! Each day in December I will open a window to receive a new Lego piece. SWEET!

Toy Presidents, RIP

That's right, folks. Toy Presidents, Inc. has gone out of business. The website doesn't even exist anymore. This does not make figuring out what to get Luke for Christmas any easier...

Girls Aloud Next Single from Out of Control

Girls Aloud are going to promote The Loving Kind as their next single. I am very disappointed with this choice. I wanted it to be Love is the Key. My favorite track on the album is Untouchable so maybe that might be the single after this? Here's hoping.

Yo Gabba Gabba!

Urban Outfitters is now carrying Yo Gabba Gabba! Christmas tree ornaments. I would really like to have them all, but my favorites are Toodee (the blue cat, who likes to have fun) and Brobee (the little green one).

More screen grabs

From the movie, Lolita.

The Contender

I was looking through some screen grabs that I took from various dvds. I had forgotten all about this one--from the movie, The Contender (2000) starring Joan Allen.

Hillary Clinton for Secretary of State?

Wouldn't that just be great? I think so. John Kerry and Bill Richardson are also rumored to be possibilities.

Obama Resigns

Obama is resigning his Senate seat, effective Sunday. This means he won't go into the Senate as the President-Elect and vote on stuff. That would have been pretty awesome.

My first post

This is my new blog. Dr. Bunny (my live journal) is not going to be used anymore. First of all I have to say that I hate all the available templates and I'm really jealous of Jozzy's.
